These Pillowfort metal stackable storage bins from Target are my latest must have purchase!
Lately I have been trying to give everything a place of it's own and these books desperately needed a place to call home. I have tried storing baby books on open shelves, in dressers, and even the fabric collapsible bins made for the cube shelf. With little success from every place as they always end up scattered around, I finally found the solution.. Pillowfort metal stackable storage bins.
These bins have been working out great so far. I find they weigh a good amount because they are metal making them more durable (mama of two wild toddlers here). Since they do weigh more I've noticed they don't tend to grab the bins without asking for help making the purpose of keeping the books nice and neat - a success 😊.
How I sort the books
I purchased a total of 4 bins (so far) and each one holds a "type" of book.
The first bin - holds all the books that are made similar (Little Hippo, etc.)
The second bin - holds all the interactive (books with different touch/feel surfaces, or peekaboo flaps)
The third bin - holds all the holiday (Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc.)
The fourth bin - holds all the educational (books with learning facts, shapes, counting, etc.)
How I store - bins & toys
Target - Threshold 9 cube cubicle. My favorite part about this shelf is it keeps everything organized but still allows all the toys and books to be seen. It makes for an easy cleanup and ultimately gives a lot of toys/books a space of their own!
